2016

  • Held seventh annual “Dragon & Eagle Dialogs” led by YCID students, local international school students and environmental leaders from top universities in China. The district-wide “Outer Space: Sustainability and Cooperation in the Final Frontier” event included programs for primary through high school students, as well as a Maker Faire program.
  • Trained 180 teachers in Great Books/Shared Inquiry methodology. Developed district-wide services for training follow-up and implementation of critical thinking processes and assessments in Chinese public schools.

2015

  • Inaugurated USA Job Shadows and Homestays in partnership with employers from Sacramento, California. These experiences were designed for YCID students and others to gain professional experience and learn about real life in American families.
  • Held sixth annual “Dragon & Eagle Dialogs” with YCID students, local international school students and environmental leaders from Gender in Our Histories and Societies. The district-wide event including a writing contest among the participants.
  • Held Great Books/Shared Inquiry demonstration discussion for 400 teachers from all provinces of China. Literature: The Monkey King.
  • Trained 180 teachers in Great Books/Shared Inquiry methodology. Developed district-wide services for training follow-up and implementation of critical thinking processes and assessments in Chinese public schools.

2014

  • Held annual “Dragon & Eagle Dialogs” with YCID students, local international school students and environmental leaders from Beijing University: “Our Sacred resources: Restoring, Sustaining and Conserving Water.” The Dragon & Eagle became a district-wide event including primary and middle school students in a wide range of science fairs and activities.
  • Trained 180 teachers in Great Books/Shared Inquiry methodology. Developed district-wide services for training follow-up and implementation of critical thinking processes and assessments in Chinese public schools.

2013

  • Inaugurated USA Job Shadows and Homestays in partnership with employers from Sacramento, California. These experiences were designed for YCID students and others to gain professional experience and learn about real life in American families. Held CultureHack event with businesses and students from Sacramento at the Capcity Shared Workspace.
  • Held fifth annual “Dragon & Eagle Dialogs” with YCID students, local international school students and environmental leaders from Greenpeace China: “Sustainable Agriculture: Food Safety, and Animal Ethics.”
  • Agreement signed with Stanford’s FabLabs@school.org, a 3-D printing and creativity research project.
  • Trained 180 teachers in Great Books/Shared Inquiry methodology. Developed district-wide services for training follow-up and implementation of critical thinking processes and assessments in Chinese public schools.

2012

  • Inaugurated Yucai High International Department, a three-year curriculum Great Books academy designed for Chinese public-school students applying for colleges in the USA and other English-speaking countries.
  • Held third annual “Dragon & Eagle Dialogs” with YCID students, visiting student council members from the USA’s Berkeley High, and local international schools: “Students for Restoration of the Environment.”
  • Designed and held a month-long American Scene English Summer Camp with Win-Win Company in Guangzhou.
  • Held USA Great Books Study Tour in California and around the USA colleges and universities. 

2011

  • Held American Scene English Summer Camp in the second year of cooperation with Yucai Education Group with over 400 participating campers in a K-12 setting including the International Great Books Courses for senior high students.
  • Held second annual “Dragon & Eagle Dialog” on American and Chinese Parenting. Participants included American and Chinese parents in the summer camp.
  • Launched USA Great Books Study Tour – a one-week homestay and classroom journey through historical California and two weeks of campus tours around the USA. 

2010

  • Inaugurated the American Scene English Summer Camp in cooperation with YuCai Education Group with over 400 participating students in a K-12 setting. Piloted Great Books materials with upper grades. Piloted careers training materials with primary, middle and high school.
  • Trained 16 YuCai Chinese English teachers in American classroom methods.
  • Initiated cross-cultural teacher collaboration Action Research project.
  • Launched first annual “Dragon & Eagle Dialog” on Classroom Management, Teaching Differences and Similarities of American and Chinese Teachers.
  • Launched agreements with both Shenzhen and Nanshan District government for innovative, cross-cultural services.

2009

  • InterLangua Software (SZ) LLC is formally established in cooperation with the YuCai Education Group (Shekou) in P.R., China. InterLangua signs formal agreement with Learning for Life Resource Center to become an authorized dealer of Holland Codes in China. Dr. Elisabeth Montgomery and Eugene Tssui are certified as expert lecturers in China.

2008

  • InterLangua debuts at The China High-Tech Fair in Shenzhen and provides the keynote speaker for the Entrepreneurs’ Forum.

2007

  • InterLangua becomes the first company in the world to provide Internet-based foreign language tutoring in both Spanish and Chinese. The company establishes InterLangua Software (SZ) LLC, a wholly-owned foreign entity (WFOE) licensed to operate in China. We continue to expand our training services to meet the demand of the rapidly growing demand in Asia. We provide essential English language training for both academic and occupational purposes. InterLangua’s Chinese clients enjoy our innovative, engaging and often playful learning methods as they gain essential language skills.
